WeldonPC.biz Domain Check

About

A domain check written for the business owner, not the mail admin.

Most small businesses only learn their email records are wrong when a customer says "your invoice went to my spam folder", or when Gmail starts refusing their mail. The records involved are public, and checking them takes seconds; reading them is the hard part. This site reads them for you and says what to change.

How a check works

When you press Check, our server asks public DNS for your domain's records, connects to your website the way a browser does (reading the certificate and the first page's headers), fetches your MTA-STS policy file if you publish one, and asks the domain's registry for its renewal date through RDAP, the registries' public lookup service. It does not log in anywhere, send any email, or scan anything beyond those requests.

Requests come from our server with the user agent WeldonPC.biz-DomainCheck/1.0. We connect only to public internet addresses.

Limits

DKIM keys are checked only at common selector names. Websites are checked over IPv4. Some registries publish no renewal date. A report is a snapshot: DNS can change after it.

Who

Built and run by WeldonPC.com. If you would rather have someone make the changes for you, any IT provider can work from the report; the link is made to be shared.
